* The calculation is made per month per economic operator. All prices are net prices. A UDB action corresponds to a request to the API provided by the UDB. This includes, for example:
- Initiating the sale of a transaction ("Add Transaction")
- Buyer confirmation of a transaction ("Confirm Transaction")
- Creating an initial stock entry ("Add Initial Stock")
- Creating a sourcing contact ("Add Sourcing Contact")
- Creating a gas injection ("Add Gas Injection")
The number of calls from your system to our API is not decisive. This means that your system can transmit several UDB actions in one request or in several requests without this affecting the costs. The regular retrieval of statuses/states (polling) is also not charged, provided that this is used in accordance with the fair use principle and does not jeopardize system stability. Explicatis expressly reserves the right to limit the polling of states in terms of number and frequency or to charge it as a UDB action.

System architecture in detail
Our solution is built on a robust Four-Corner Model and a specially developed REST API that ensures secure data transmission through Access Points to the UDB. Communication between end users and the database is seamless and reliable.
1. End-User Clients – Starting Point of Data Transmission
Transmission begins with the end users, who collect data via software systems and send it through a standardized interface to the REST API. Authentication tokens and API keys ensure that only authorized access is allowed.
3. Access Points – Gateway to the Union Database
As a bridge to the UDB, Access Points encrypt and format the data to ensure secure transmission. A queuing system buffers data to maintain reliable transmission even during high request volumes.
2. REST API – Mediator between End Users and Access Points
The REST API acts as a central interface, validating incoming data, authenticating users, and securely forwarding data to the Access Points. In case of errors, transparent logging ensures clear feedback.
4. Union Database (UDB) – Central Data Storage
The UDB receives and stores validated data, ensuring their secure retention in compliance with EU data protection regulations, including the GDPR.
